Everyone was waiting for the launch of new iPhone model. Apple launches its new series on 22nd September 2023. Apple claims, iPhone 15 chassis is made up of grade 5 titanium. Youtubers were also waiting for this series to do durability test.
JerryRigEverything was one of the youtuber who did durability test of iPhone 15 pro max and he has many concerns. He launched his video recently. We can see in the video, iPhone made up of titanium put through heating test, scratch test and load test on back glass.
The front display glass shows resistance against scratches. But things get interesting when Jerry put some pressure on back glass, and we hear a sound of break within few seconds. The back glass completely splintered.
If you have seen the durability test of previous models like iPhone 11 series to 14 series. They survive the pressure on the back glass. Unlike previous series, iPhone 15 shocked the viewers and youtuber himself. This is because of 5 times higher tensile strength of titanium than the aluminum.
But the good point is that apple is offering replacement of back glass of 15 series at cheap rates compared to previous models. The price for replacement is $169 and $199 for iPhone 15 pro and iPhone 15 pro max respectively. You can watch the complete test of iPhone in the video given below.
