Women would be able to move to Saudia Arabia for hajj without Mehram under the hajj policy for 2024. This news is confirmed by the authorities on Friday.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs will announced hajj policy 2024 in the next two weeks, but they have confirmed the changes in policy for women to do hajj without mahram.
Further ministry said that the federal cabinet will approve the policy in next week after that ministry discusses applications procedure.
Multiple changes are going to be introduced in this year’s hajj policy as a introduction of short-term hajj that have duration of just 20 days as compared to normal hajj duration of 35 to 50 days.
Due to rupee devaluation, Pakistan received less applications for hajj in 2023 as compared to quota allocated to Pakistan by Saudia Arabia. This is the reason behind the introduction of short-term hajj.
