First LPG shipment from Russia successfully reached in Pakistan, a great achievement in the growing energy cooperation between countries.
The Russian embassy in Pakistan confirmed the news and appreciated Iran in playing vital role for this delivery.
100,000 metric tons of LPG was transported through Iran. Transportation of LPG occur through Sarakhs Special Economic Zone. Pakistan is waiting for the other shipments while details about Iran’s involvement and pricing is not disclosed.
Previous transactions for crude oil from Russian was done in Chinese currency but the exact value was not announced publicly. Major portion of external payments of Pakistan is energy imports.
